Carl has told in theatres,
country parks, village halls, schools and
churches to adult and family audiences and
has been a featured storyteller as part
of The Essex Book Festival in 2003, 2004
and 2005. He has twice told at Milton Country
Park, Cambridgeshire at the "Park Life"
weekend.
As a member of Essex Storytellers, he has
been involved in creating a number of adult
tellings based around the folklore and history
of Essex. (The Battle of Maldon, Essex Islands,
Tales across the Colne.) The most recent
project, "Scratching the Surface",
an adult telling was performed in theatres
and Arts Centres around East Anglia during
2005.
Adult Programmes include:
- "Brave Men and Clever Women" Stories
of heroes, heroines and ordinary folk.
- "Into The Shadowlands" Linked
Irish stories of encounters with "the
fair folk".
- "The Times of Finn Macool" Tales
of the great Irish Hero.
- "An East Anglian Evening" Stories
from East Anglia.
- "Canterbury Tales" A selection
of stories from Chaucer's masterpiece.
